What if one procedure could address issues with a tooth’s shape and color? What if the same one could correct gaps in your smile as well? Well, with our custom-made cosmetic veneers, our Brighton, MA, team can transform your smile with a single procedure.
What Will These Restorations Correct?
The restorations are very thin and fit over the front of your teeth, completely covering, and thus altering, their appearance. For this reason, we often use them to mask permanent teeth stains. Also known as intrinsic stains, these may not respond to traditional teeth whitening methods. We also correct the appearance of minor misalignment, close any gaps between your teeth, reshape naturally malformed teeth, and correct minor damage, such as chips.
Creating and Placing your Custom Veneers
First, we need to prepare your teeth. Doing so accomplishes two things: First, we make room for the restoration. Second, we then take detailed impressions to help with the design and fabrication process. After we remove the outer layer and take the impressions, expert ceramists at a dental lab will create the veneers. The patient will return for a second visit, during which we will place the completed restorations using a powerful bonding agent.
Keeping Them Bright and Strong
Once in place, your new restorations will look natural. We use porcelain to create them due to the material’s strength and ability to match surrounding teeth. While they do contain stain-resistant materials, you should still maintain routine care to keep the restorations bright and protect them from harmful bacteria. We suggest brushing your teeth twice daily and flossing before bed. We also urge patients to see us every six months for a checkup and cleaning, which allows us to monitor your new veneers and make sure your smile stays bright and healthy.
