Patients with misalignment need orthodontics to enjoy straighter and healthier smiles. However, you don’t need to rely solely on metal orthodontics to correct crooked and crowded teeth. Instead, we can use the unique Invisalign® system to offer a more even smile.
Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign®
Question: Who qualifies for clear aligners?
Answer: We will take a look at the cause and severity of your misalignment to decide if this is the best option for you. Treatment has been known to help teens and adults enjoy better alignment and more attractive smiles in as little as a year to 18 months.
Question: How do you create my clear braces?
Answer: We first take a detailed impression of your smile, as well as digital images and x-rays. We send these materials to an Invisalign lab, where experts use them to design and craft your aligners. Each set will be custom-made from a clear and BPA-free plastic material to ensure a comfortable fit and accurate treatment.
Question: What’s my day-to-day Invisalign experience like?
Answer: Each day, you will wear a set for between 20 and 23 hours. About once every two weeks, you will upgrade to a new set as your teeth are repositioned and corrected. You can remove them for meals, when brushing and flossing your teeth, or for special occasions. But if you want to see optimal results in the original time frame the dentist quoted, you need to be sure you wear them as recommended.
Question: What benefits do they offer over braces?
Answer: They don’t cause gum and cheek irritation, they don’t require as many office visits, and the treatment time is usually shorter. In addition, being removable means you don’t need to change how you eat and that caring for your teeth at home is much easier than with braces.
