The Hygiene Team
Our dental hygienists, Tran and Mihara, have extensive training and experience in their field. They work with our patients to provide comprehensive dental hygiene and education for effective homecare. Gum disease affects approximately 80% of the U.S. population. It has been linked to serious overall health risks, such as heart and respiratory diseases, stroke, diabetes complications, low-weight births, Alzheimer’s disease, and dementia. Your six-month dental cleanings will allow Tran or Mihara to help you prevent gum disease. Should the condition develop, your hygienist will develop a practical and effective treatment plan to restore good oral health. Tran and Mihara also work closely with Dr. Kondrat, our periodontist, when specialist care is required.
Tran Huynh-Mullaney, RDH, earned her bachelor’s degree at Tufts University in 1995. She has been with Brighton Family Dental since 1988, first as a dental assistant, then as a hygienist in 2001 after earning her RDH degree from Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene. Tran brings over 3 decades of experience to our team and takes great pride in helping our patients achieve optimal oral health.
Mihara Troncales, RDH, graduated from University of the Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy, then earned her RDH at Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. She joined our team in 2002 and provides excellent care for all of our patients.
The Dental Assisting Team
Carla, Thuy and Vanessa earned certificates in dental assisting and bring many years of experience to our practice. A dental assistant works chairside with the dentist during procedures, providing help to the dentist while ensuring optimal patient comfort. The dental assistants also take radiographs, intraoral photos and digital scans as well as providing teeth-whitening treatment. If you have questions about dental procedures, your treatment plan, or patient comfort, Carla, Thuy and Vanessa will be happy to help you.
Carla Turcios, our lead Dental Assistant/Front Desk coordinator came on board in 2007. She earned her certificate in dental assisting at Boston Career Institute. Carla also holds a certificate in dental radiology. She is fluent in Spanish and is happy to provide translation for our Spanish-speaking patients. Carla wears many hats to ensure that our office and clinic are run like a well-oiled machine. Carla is a loving mother to two active boys, Joshua and Andrew and devoted wife to Joel. In her spare time, Carla enjoys spending time with her family as well as her dog, Otis. She also enjoys watching Netflix and loves to workout.
Thuy Do joined our team in 2018 and has earned her certificate in dental assisting and radiology. Thuy also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Danang Foreign Language University. Additionally, she is fluent in Vietnamese and is always willing to assist our Vietnamese speaking patients. Thuy is the caring mother to Kathryn and Anthony and loving wife to Alan. In her spare time, Thuy enjoys spending time with her friends and family, karaoke and taking trips.
Vanessa Negron is the latest addition to our superb staff and has been an essential part of our team since 2019. She earned her certificate in dental assisting and radiology from the Boston Career Institute. Vanessa also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia. Vanessa is also fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her friends and family, dancing, playing sports, and eating out.
The Administrative Office
Our administrative personnel, led by our office manager Ms. Phuong Le, are always eager to assist you, our patients, with all matters related to scheduling, billing, financial options, and insurance coverage. When you call or visit Brighton Family Dental Group, Phuong and staff will work diligently to provide excellent attention to your needs and will strive to assure that your interaction with us will always be handled with a high level of professionalism and competence.
Phuong has effectively lead our team since 2005, and earned her Bachelor’s in Business Management from Boston University. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Managers and fluent in Vietnamese. Phuong is the proud mother of Cecilia, Katarina and Isaac and is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Andrew. In her spare time, she enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, bowling, working out and interior decorating. She loves to spend time outdoors and staying active with her family.
