How Do I Get Invisalign®?
After visiting us for a thorough dental exam, we will consult with you to determine if Invisalign® is the best treatment for your situation. If we decide to move forward with the clear aligners, we’ll start by taking X-rays and impressions of your mouth. Dr. Villani will use these diagnostic tools to create a personalized treatment plan for you. A certified lab will fabricate the aligners and send them to our office. You’ll then visit us again so that we can explain how to use them and to make sure they fit precisely in your mouth.
You will wear the aligners as often as possible since treatment only happens when they are worn. They should only be taken out temporarily. You’ll receive a new set of aligners every two weeks or so as your teeth start to move into place. The treatment takes anywhere from nine months to 24 months, depending on each patient’s situation.
